Ingredients:

  • 2 cups puffed rice
  • 1 cup sev (crispy chickpea flour noodles)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped raw mango (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 2 tbsp green chutney
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • salt to taste

Instruction:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine puffed rice, sev, chopped onion, tomato, boiled and mashed potato, cucumber, raw mango (if using), and fresh coriander.
  2. Add tamarind chutney and green chutney to the mixture. Adjust the amount of chutney as per your liking.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder (if desired) and salt over the mixture.
  4. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well blended, making sure the chutney and spices are evenly distributed.
  5. Taste and adjust the spices to your liking, adding more chutney or spices if desired.
  6. Serve immediately in individual bowls or plates, garnishing each portion with additional sev and fresh coriander leaves.
